From the heart of Naarm/Melbourne, Acopia return with their new full-length LP Blush Response — an 8-track meditation on distance, memory, and the quiet weight of words unspoken. Where their past work traced hazy outlines of electronic-infused dream pop, this album feels more intimate and more fragile, shaped as much by silence and space as by melody.

At its core, Blush Response captures the delicate tension between vulnerability and resilience. Songs unravel slowly, steeped in melancholy, but there’s always a glimmer of strength — a sense that even in emotional fracture, something enduring remains. Each track feels like a whispered confession wrapped in layers of soft synths, muted percussion, and vocals that drift like smoke through reverb-drenched air.

The trio — Kate Durman, Lachlan McGeehan, and Morgan Wright — wrote, performed, and recorded every moment themselves, bringing a raw intimacy to the record. Mixing duties were shared between Wright and McGeehan, while mastering by Alex Gordon ensures the album retains its subtle balance between weight and lightness. The design by Asel Tambay and photography by Brian Karlsson complete the album’s reflective, inward-looking aesthetic.

Blush Response is not simply a collection of songs but a portrait of stillness and release, of emotions that linger just below the surface, and of the beauty that can be found in restraint. It is a record meant for the late hours, when quiet feels louder than sound, and when music becomes less about answers than about echoing what we cannot say.
