Few bands have built momentum as quickly as Belfast's GUSH. Following a breakthrough year in 2025 that saw the band earn support from Spotify's Alt_IE editorial playlist, BBC Radio Ulster and Foyle's Where Music Matters, RTÉ 2FM, BBC Introducing and BBC Radio's Precious Metal, alongside widespread coverage from Irish music publications including Hot Press, Golden Plec, Chordblossom, First Music Contact, Pure M Zine and Ragged Cast, the quartet return with their first release of 2026, Constance. Released as part of the Oh Yeah Music Centre's Scratch My Progress programme, the single finds GUSH building confidently on everything that has made them one of Ireland's most exciting emerging alternative acts.
Formed around vocalist and rhythm guitarist Chelsea Andrews, lead guitarist Robby McCammon, bassist Robert "Rab" Millar and drummer Darren Clarke, GUSH have steadily developed a sound that refuses to sit comfortably within a single genre. Their music draws equally from grunge, alternative rock and psychedelia, blending heavy guitar driven arrangements with emotionally charged songwriting and an unmistakable melodic instinct.
