Daniel Lah - What You Said

Emerging musician Daniel Lah began his journey in the music world in late 2018, initially experimenting with dream-pop. With his trusty laptop as his studio, Lah embarked on a creative expedition, crafting melodies and harmonies that resonated with his unique artistic vision. Recently, he has ventured into new territories, embracing the distinct sounds of new wave, gothic, and shoegaze. Lah's evolving style, characterized by its deeply personal and introspective nature, marks him as a distinctive voice in the contemporary music scene.

Interview with Daniel Lah : "I am from Melbourne, Australia. There is a very active music scene here, so I spent a few years playing and singing in a bunch of different bands - mostly punk and rock bands. Unfortunately none of these bands lasted very long or got very far, and so the experience left me quite disheartened. After this I took a long break, during which time I worked on my songwriting skills, and also learned how to record and produce my own music. It was also during this time that I discovered bands like DIIV, Beach Fossils and Real Estate, artists that were giving older genres like post-punk and surf rock a modern interpretation. This became a big influence on my songwriting, and I believe has given my music a unique style, as I have combined elements of goth, new wave and post-punk with indie surf guitar, and 80s style synthesizers into my compositions. "

Thank you, Daniel Lah for giving me time.
