Dream Pop / Indie / Neo-Psychedelia

With Unclouded, her fourth studio album, Melody Prochet opens a new chapter — one bathed in clarity, softness, and an almost spiritual calm. After years of crafting dreamlike psychedelia that teetered between introspection and cosmic wanderlust, this new record feels like an exhale. It is luminous, grounded, and deeply human. Unclouded doesn’t abandon the kaleidoscopic DNA of Melody’s Echo Chamber; instead, it reframes it through a renewed sense of presence. Every sound seems to arrive exactly when it is meant to, with a warmth that invites listeners to step fully into the moment with her.

A constellation of collaborators elevating her vision

For Unclouded, Melody surrounded herself with an exceptional cast of musicians — each bringing a distinct color to her already vibrant sonic palette.

  • Sven Wunder, co-producer and master of cinematic psychedelia, enriches the album with his lush arrangements and textured harmonics, giving the project an elegant expansiveness.

  • Josefin Runsteen, an avant-garde violinist, adds sharp emotional contours and unexpected modernity.

  • Daniel Ögren and Love Örsan of the Swedish group Dina Ögon contribute guitar and bass lines that Melody affectionately calls “velvet groove” — supple rhythms glowing with understated sophistication.

  • On drums, Malcolm Catto (Madlib, DJ Shadow, The Heliocentrics) injects a loose, organic energy that anchors the album with precision and swagger.

  • Longtime collaborator Reine Fiske returns with his unmistakable guitar work, weaving through the record like a trusted guide.

The album closes with “Daisy,” a radiant piece shaped alongside Leon Michels (Wu-Tang Clan, The Carters, Norah Jones, Clairo). His soulful sensibility lifts the track into something nearly weightless — a perfect final bloom.

A gentle evolution, not a departure

What defines Unclouded is not a shift in genre, but a shift in perspective.
Melody’s psychedelic pop still glimmers with vaporous synths, dreamy guitar ripples, and her unmistakable voice floating like sunlight through lace curtains. But there is a new clarity — a sense of emotional maturity and peaceful self-acceptance.

Rather than spiraling inward, the songs look outward.
They welcome change.
They savor in-between moments.
They settle into the warmth of the everyday.

A soundscape of serenity and shimmering detail

The record sways gently between dream-pop elegance and neo-psychedelic richness, layered with:

  • glowing textural tapestries,

  • subtly shifting grooves,

  • strings that glide like breath,

  • harmonies that hover just above the real world.

Under the careful hand of Jens Jungkurth (El Michels Affair), the mix deepens the album’s spaciousness, giving every instrument space to exist, bloom, and fade with intention.

A graceful, unhurried masterpiece

Unclouded is Melody’s most serene and open-hearted album to date — a work that embraces vulnerability without heaviness, and radiance without excess. It invites the listener to pause, to listen closely, and to rediscover the quiet beauty woven into the fabric of everyday life.

A record that feels like watching the sky finally clear.
