Roman Tisch – A Music Project Between Shoegaze and Electronica from Cologne
Roman Tisch: A Sonic Venture from Cologne
Emerging from the rich cultural landscape of Cologne, Roman Tisch is a music project that boldly ventures into uncharted sonic terrain—where hazy shoegaze atmospheres dissolve into intricate electronic textures. It’s not merely a fusion of genres, but a reinvention of mood, space, and sound.
Roman Tisch's first steps into the world of electronic music came several years ago, with a striking remix crafted for the legendary German band Quarks. That remix, co-created with fellow artist Trist, hinted at the project’s future: one steeped in both nostalgia and innovation, warmth and precision.
But Tisch's musical roots go deeper. In his formative years, Roman was a member of Jugendstil, a band whose spirit of experimentation laid the groundwork for what was to come. Now, harnessing the power of digital interaction and modern production tools, Roman Tisch has existed as a solo vision since 2021—a platform for cinematic melancholia, pulsating rhythms, and lush sonic storytelling.
The music of Roman Tisch feels like it’s suspended between worlds: analogue and digital, memory and futurism, dream and design. It’s not just music you listen to—it’s music you drift into.
