Sad Pony Girl: A New Force in Experimental Music
Sad Pony Girl is a compelling trio that blends innovative soundscapes with evocative vocal performances. The group consists of Fabio Anghilante, who handles the music composition, Eleonora Natilii, the voice behind the haunting melodies, and Alberto Costa, the mastermind behind the sounds.
Their latest project, the "Guerrilla EP," is a testament to their collaborative genius. Recorded and mixed at home by Costa, the EP showcases Anghilante’s talent for crafting intricate instrumental parts, with additional guitar contributions from Dario Marengo on tracks "The Raven" and "Arson." Natilii’s vocals add a layer of depth and emotion, making each track a unique auditory experience.
The EP was mastered at VDSS Studio in Frosinone in 2023, ensuring a polished and professional sound that complements the raw, home-recorded essence of the music. Anghilante also created the artwork, further emphasizing the band's hands-on approach and artistic vision. Scheduled for release on July 28, 2024, the "Guerrilla EP" promises to make waves in the music scene.
All songs on the EP were written and performed by Sad Pony Girl, with the exception of "ILuvTheValleyOh," a cover of a track by Xiu Xiu. This particular piece was recorded with the band's permission, adding a touch of homage and respect to the original creators.
Sad Pony Girl's "Guerrilla EP" is more than just a collection of songs; it is an immersive experience that reflects the trio’s dedication to their craft. As they continue to explore and push the boundaries of experimental music, their work is poised to resonate with a wide audience, leaving a lasting impact on listeners and the broader music landscape.
